Civil War in America, continued

Online Only, Zoom tbd
Welcome to a study of the American Civil War. The Civil War was a time in our history that shaped the nation we are today. In this study, we will focus on the events leading up to the Civil War. We will learn about the generals and the battles they fought on opposing sides, as well as the connections that bound their pasts together. We will dive deeply into a study of politics of this particular war. We will discuss the fifty different battles that happened on American soil, including varying foreign involvement on each side. Each lesson will be given a follow up assignment. Students will also be asked to keep a journal as someone who lived through this time period. This will allow creative writing while showing understanding of the topics we’ve discussed.
